PARTNERS
The Montana Natural Heritage Program benefits from many great partnerships. Our partners range from state and federal agencies, to local and tribal governments, to citizen organizations, private businesses, and individuals. Partners contribute valuable data, project support, funding, and expertise that all help make our program a success. We are especially indebted to: (1) NatureServe and its network of over 60 programs across North America which help us track the taxonomy, distribution, and status of species and ecosystems; (2) the University of Montana's Spatial Analysis Lab which helps on land cover and vegetation community mapping; and (3) the Ecological Mapping Monitoring and Analysis (EMMA) group at the O'Connor Center for the Rocky Mountain West which provides wetland and other mapping and monitoring data.
